My Model

Alright...it seems some of you want an explanation as to why my daughter is plastered all over Alberta on billboards.  Well, my friend Justine needed a baby for a project at work, the guy holding Sydney is her future husband, so she asked me.  Sydney cried the entire time. Thanks to some great photoshopping, they came up with this image.  We are pretty proud of our little baby.  I love seeing her every time I drive to the city.

Our Life Lately

May and June has been a lot of fun around here.  Sydney is growing up so much, I can't believe it.  She is still crawling up a storm and doing lots of furniture walking.  She even started to use the walker that we got her from IKEA.  Sometimes she walks using her knees, which is quite funny to see, but she is staring to stand up with it and walk a lot more lately.  She had her first birthday (I will post later), which was super fun to plan and so surreal that I have a one year old on my hands.
Enjoy!

Watching Daddy play rugby, guess that won't be happening too much anymore since Adam is out for 6 weeks from some fractures in his face!  Don't worry, he still looks normal.

Sydney's first time in the sand. Yes, she put it in her mouth more than once.

Swinging with her cousin, Alice.

Chilling at the park with Alice.

Helping Mommy and Daddy plant flowers.

Supervising.

First time at Galaxyland on the Merry-Go-Round.  She had lots of  fun.

Test driving.  Although her expression denies it, she is loving this.

Checking out the ball pit.

Loving the ball pit.

Hanging out with cousins, Owen and Autumn.

Climbing on Uncle Steven.

That's better.

Sydney is on a billboard...no big deal.

The Many Faces of Sydney

Sydney will be 10 months old in a matter of days. I know everybody says it, but where has the time gone?  She is moving around like a champ crawling and pulling herself up.  I am sure she will take some steps soon.  Feeding herself is what she is all about these days, she really loves strawberries and green peas.  We are all very happy to be back in Alberta.  I am loving staying at home with Sydney.

Eating banana like a big girl.

Hi!

This is her intimidation face, are you intimidated?

Look What I Can Do!

It's official, Sydney can now move in all directions!  She figured out the front crawl/drag this morning while attempting to reach Boozer's bone. Gross, but it was good motivation.  I tempted her with my Mom's IPhone in this video. I can't believe she is 8 months old tomorrow, time really does fly.

7 Months and Moving

January has been a busy month for our little family.  All three of us flew to Edmonton for a visit with family, Adam finally got to meet Alice.  We had lots of fun.  About two days after getting back home to Manitoba, we found out that we are moving to Edmonton!  We are so excited that Sydney will get to grow up near family and friends.  Now we just need to find a house to buy.

Sydney is rolling around like crazy and likes to get in to whatever is within her reach, no major accidents yet.  She is still such a happy little baby and likes to say "ma ma ma ma" and "du du du du" and a few other sounds, it's pretty cute.  I think she will be crawling soon as she can get up on her knees, but ends up pushing backwards instead of forwards.  I know she will get it, and I can wait!

Love to everyone!

Reading some books with her friend Kate.
Eating Sophie.

Half-Way to Number One

I can't believe that Sydney is already 6 months old (7 months in a few days!).  It really has flown by and I have been enjoying every day with her.  She is getting such a personality and is so happy and friendly.  We were able to spend Christmas with both sides of the family this year which was great.  Unfortunately, she got her first cold while we were in Spruce Grove, poor girl was so stuffed up.  At least she had Nana there to give her extra cuddles.  She is feeling much better now and is back to her normal self.  She now has two teeth on the bottom, and is eating solid foods.  I've given her sweet potato, butternut squash, peas, banana, pear, apple, rice cereal and oat cereal.  She tried spinach, but wasn't the biggest fan, I will have to sneak some more in with something else that she likes. Sleeping is getting better and better, 10-12 hours each night now.  Though I must say, she has always been a pretty awesome sleeper.  She can sit up really well now and can get herself on to her tummy on her own when she sees something that she wants.  Crawling is in the near future as she tries to get up on her knees each day.  She is getting really good at pushing herself backwards.
Just waking up from her nap with her lamb on her head, naturally.
Mmmm...spinach.

Frosty

Our little family went out to Shuswap this year for Christmas.  We got some snow on Christmas Eve and what better to do with snow and warm weather than make a snowman?  It all started when Matthew and Owen started to roll a huge snowball.  Before long, the whole family was outside helping to make one awesome snowman...enjoy!
Reggie, Owen, & Autumn making sure the snowballs are up to par.
Waiting for the train to pass by.

Adam also wanted to see the train.

Everyone helped, well everyone tried to help.

Attaching the middle.

Sydney did a great job observing and making sure it was standing straight.
Such a cutie-pie.
